Blecham Penna Marina

Price

£6.99

Blechnum penna-marina is an attractive evergreen, fronded fern native to Chile and Central America. A beautiful fern for filling gaps and crevices, it forms a lush mat of rich coppery-red fronds in the spring which become green as they mature.

Commonly known as the Alpine Water Fern Given it loves being in a shady spot and works well in containers. Blechnum penna-marina prefers to be grown in moist, acidic soil in full or partial shade, where it will grow to a height of 30cm, spreading to around 1m.

The RHS hardiness rating is H4 which means Blechnum may require winter protection should the temperature dip below -10 C.
