A native of temperate Asia, the Cyrtomium fortunei 'Clivicola' is found in Japan, where is grows on hills and smaller mountains, or in China when in grows in damp ditches and shady roadsides. A lovely fern, it produces light fronds which darken with age and has an arching habit. This is an evergreen fern, so if you want to keep your gardenplants looking green this is the fern for you.
