A fantastic blue leafed hosta, 'halycon' is a medium leaved variety. Its leaves turn more heart shaped as they mature. In summer it produces beautiful lavender flowers on tall spikes which are loved by bees.

As with all hostas, they prefer shade which helps keep their leaves in full colour. Hostas are unfortunately loved by snails and slugs. Apart from chemicals, which we don't recommend, the only way to keep on top of this is by hand picking these critters off or using sharp objects like crushed shells around the base.

Suitable for large pots but will need to be kept very moist to survive. Suitable for the front of borders, or looks beautiful with ferns and grasses or in tropical planting schemes.

Hostas are toxic to cats, dogs and horses.
