Care
Like all philodendrons, aurea will need bright but indirect light and watering once a week during summer depending on the location. She will need less watering during the winter months. Do not over water and ensure that the roots do not sit in water. Rot will very quickly kill this plant.
Philodendron like high humidity, so ensure you keep the air around her moist by spritzing.
Like all aroids, it will need an open, humus rich soil which mimics its natural habitat of tropical rainforests.
Growth Habit
Will grow upright as a climber so it will need support either by way of pole or secured to a wall.
Ultimate height at full maturity: 3m
Good to know
Note that like all philodendrons, aurea is toxic to animals and humans if ingested, so keep her away from children and pets, and make sure you wash your hands after touching
This is a rarer species of philodendron, so take good care of her!
