Rodgersia aesculifolia is a stunning perennial plant with striking thick foliage. Thriving exceptionally well in shady conditions. In summer it produces tall spikes of white flowers above their rich foliage, which darkens with age.
Rodgersia prefer shady conditions reliably moist soil, so are great for shady borders. As large plants they are also great for filling large gaps with few plants. They go well with other shade lovers like hostas, ferns, ligularia and chinese rhubarb.
